We launched our Field Trips in January 2022 with our first community gathering at Hair: Untold Stories at the Horniman Museum.

Since then, we have hosted more than 50 trips, bringing together thousands of young people to experience art & creativity at over 40 cultural establishments around London.

Our field trips focus on events and spaces that centre Diversity within British art and culture. Highlights include:

Kehinde Wiley at the National Gallery, February 2022
Red Pitch at the Bush Theatre, September 2023, where we also hosted an exclusive Q&A with the cast and audience.
In The Black Fantastic, Southbank Centre, August 2022
Beyond The Streets at the Saatchi Gallery, March 2023
For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy by Ryan Calais Cameron, attended by Nourishment groups three years running (2022, 2023, 2024)
Shifters, at the Bush Theatre,  March 2024
Wolves on Road, at the Bush Theatre, November 2024
The Secret Lives Of Baba Segi's Wives, Arcola Theatre, April 2025

Bring Your Boys Initiative
Alongside our regular trips, we run Bring Your Boys, a strand dedicated to creating space for Black men within arts and culture. We specifically invite them to plays that centre their stories, such as For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy by Ryan Calais Cameron and One Way Out by Montel Douglas. We have found that Black men respond powerfully to personal invitations, and the initiative has become a vital way to increase representation and engagement with a non-traditional arts audience.

Our Field Trips have always been so much more than popping down to a new establishment. It was about restoring the faith of young people in their own latent creative potential, and opening a new reality for us to explore.
