In October 2023, Nourishment and London Metropolitan University collaborated on a creative writing workshop & open mic titled Letter To The Black Child to celebrate their BHM 365 Programme.

The Nourishment community took over the Rocket Bar from 6pm - 8:30pm to celebrate Black History Month with nostalgia, stories and reflection.

Letter To The Black Child was a concept centring growth, personal journeys, family and relationships, self-love and empathy.

The nourishment community was invited to share their response - the open mic brought out many unique and talented voices to share their experiences. We developed a distinctive marketing asset in the form of the poster which portrayed Black youth and conveyed vibrance.
